The Carey Group, in association with Careys Foundation, has entered a partnership with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity (the Lighthouse Club).
The Lighthouse Club has been delivering charitable support to the construction community since 1956, and is the only charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.
The Lighthouse Club is Careys Foundation’s key charity partner and will be raising awareness and funds for them throughout 2022, along with promoting their ‘Help Inside the Hard Hat’ initiative across all our offices and projects.
The Lighthouse Club has launched this campaign to raise awareness of poor mental health within our industry. In the UK, two construction workers take their own lives every working day and stress, anxiety and depression account for a fifth of all work-related illnesses.
As our plant and fleet on sites and on the roads up and down the UK are one of the best ways to raise awareness, we have branded a truck promoting the Lighthouse Club and their support helpline – 0345 605 1956 (ROI 1800 939 122).
We have had a close relationship with the Lighthouse Club for many years, supporting the important work they do. It’s great to be able to further enhance this through this partnership. The ‘Help Inside the Hard Hat’ campaign is very powerful, getting across a tragically sad message that is happening every day in the industry – we will be promoting the great work the Lighthouse Club do along with raising funds to support them in achieving this.
