To effectively articulate the standards we’ve delivered since 1969 and provide guidance and examples to our teams about what’s expected of them on site, Careys Visual Standards was launched as an in-house tool for our site teams almost two years ago.

The mobile-friendly website provides guidance and concise details of what needs to be considered across a range of operational activities, and each standard has been developed by our operational teams themselves with input from our HSEQ and wider business support teams too.
Careys Design Team has played a pivotal role in helping to create the computer generated images (CGIs) that accompany each standard, and these communicate to our sites exactly what is expected with no room for ambiguity or misinterpretation. It gives our teams an absolute benchmark to visit and re-visit every time they set up a site, walk a site, or carry out a task and something they can hold up and say, “is this what the Carey Way looks like?”
With new standards being added to the website regularly, and constant suggestions for improvements coming in from our teams, Careys Visual Standards is a key component in the Carey Group mantra of #BetterEveryDay.
The website gives clear guidance on Careys’ expectations and standards that are easily translated by the fantastic computer generated images (CGIs). This is something everyone from directors to operatives can use and the message remains the same.
