I was fortunate in my career to have people who looked out for me. Now I have a passion to return the care I received by helping to create great places to work where everyone feels welcome and able to be their authentic selves

I joined the Carey Group Board in January 2020 as an Independent Non-Executive Director, Chair of the Risk and Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee. My 40 years of experience is in finance, auditing, policy, risk and regulations within the public, private and charity sectors.
I was formally an audit and transaction services partner for Grant Thornton, specialising in listed and large private businesses and was their Chair of the Partnership Oversight Board from 2008 to 2016 and Head of Assurance Services of the firm from 1999 to 2006. I’m also a Non-Executive Director on the Nuffield Health Board, The Royal Collection Trust and The Gurkha Museum.
I’m a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a passionate advocate of the links between good governance and effective Board to organisational performance.
